After graduating with honors from the University of Chicago, Dr. Sung earned doctorate degrees in law and medicine (MD/JD) on full scholarship from the University of Illinois. He completed his plastic surgery training at the University of Pittsburgh–a top-ranked program worldwide–where he was Chief Administrative Resident. He is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a faculty member of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Sung is frequently sought out for his expert insights in national publications such as Allure, New York Magazine, CNN, Women’s Health, PopSugar, Business Insider and more.
Over 20 Years of Experience in Regenerative Aesthetics
Dr. Sung is an expert in regenerative aesthetics medicine. His contributions to the field began with groundbreaking research on DNA methylation and cellular regeneration, leading to multiple industry-advancing publications. He is published in numerous academic journals and textbooks and is a recipient of the Excellence in Research Award from the American College of Surgeons.
Today Dr. Sung trains regularly with leading experts in Korea and worldwide, bringing the most cutting-edge regenerative techniques and surgical innovations to his practice in New York City. He serves on the American Society of Plastic Surgeons' Committee on Regenerative Medicine and maintains active membership in several prestigious professional organizations. He is often invited to conferences as an opinion leader to share his wide range of knowledge in both invasive and non-invasive cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.
